Printer’s Alley—Your Locally Owned Private Club
Locals know that Printer’s Alley has been around since 2012, but you might have noticed some changes in 2016—better food, a more welcoming atmosphere and a steady lineup of live music. That was when two proud Memphis locals, Anthony and Javel, stepped in and decided to take their favorite bar to the next level.
The Printer’s Alley management team has only one goal: to provide the same kind of late night hangout they’d love to spend time at themselves.
Anthony McVay
Born and raised in Memphis, TN, Anthony attended Germantown High School before starting a career in the restaurant industry. He has a lifelong love of cooking, bringing his culinary expertise and hands-on business experience to running Printer’s Alley. He got his first taste of being an entrepreneur in the industry in 2008 and has never looked back. If you’re the kind of regular who stops in at Printer’s Alley in the daytime, there’s a good chance Anthony is behind the bar. Ask him to make you his off-menu buffalo chicken panini with ranch!
Javel Weston
Javel’s from Milwaukee, but you wouldn’t know it to talk to him—he’s been a Memphis local since 1999. With nearly 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur, Javel brings creative insight and unbeatable energy to the team. If you’re here at night, Javel could be on either side of the bar. You’ll recognize him instantly by his larger-than-life charm, hospitality, and friendly way with words.
The Vision
Anthony and Javel have been friends for over 10 years. Their first entrepreneurial collaboration was in 2008 with an event company called Underground Saints. With Printer’s Alley, their vision is to make an inclusive, fun hangout with great music and unbeatable food. Is it working? Come in and see for yourself!
